Sorta feel like I'm repeating people, but I think it jsut depends on what kind of relationship you want to have. If you are two horny people not really worried about building a relationship, then go ahead and have sex after saying "hello." Now, I do believe that it is possible to build something on this if both individuals are willing to try, however, if you just had sex with a virtual stranger, who's gonna bring up the idea of building a lasting relationship? The tone has be set, and though it can adjusted, it'll take work, and both have to be willing to try. If you just have sex without talking first, you have no reason to expect that the other person is interested in seeing you tomorrow, so just be prepared.

However, if you have gotten to know each other first, then you have an idea on what will happen after the sex. This timeframe will depend on the people involved, as has been repeated several times. But, assuming that no one lies in the relationship, when sex is gotten around to, there should be no real surprises. By then, you know if the other is waiting for marriage, or if they are willing to get to it sooner, or if they are just feeling it out, which seems to be what most people do.

For me personally, the plan is to wait until marriage, but, if Ifeel like I do love that other person, and feel like they return the sentiment, then I may be more flexible. It just depends on the relationship and what values the people have.

I think it depends on how much you know about each other. I would deffinetly not give it up to a guy i hardly know. If I know him well and I can state that he is not in the relationship just to get with me then thats good. But if I know hes a perv...not gonna happen bud.

I believe in waiting for marriage, not that i have but i do believe it is the wisest approach if you want a long lasting relationship. It has been proven that couples who wait for marriage before having sex are less likely to divorce. Why is this? Because the relationship was based on friendship and not sex. Sex is only a small fraction of a relationship, at most 5% which is about 2 hrs of sex every day, thats alot of sex. For most people its 2% of the relationship. My point is this, that if you build your relationship with sex as its foundation it will crumble but if you build it on developing a sold friendship it will most likely stand. Don't believe me, Just try it. The keys to a great healthy relationship are trust, communication, honesty and faithfullness
Trust your partner be honest with them and talk to them without raising your voice and don't cheat on them. Treat your partner as you would want to be treated.
I hope someone takes this to heart.

Before asking how long we think it is "raisonable" to wait,we should first consider each other. Some people have had bad experience in their ###nsequently it will be very careful to bring them to feel safe before talking of sex.

if anyone is concerned that sex will ruin a relationship, then you're not ready for a relationship. you can have sex on the first date and have a soulmate, thats what happend with one of my friends LOL.

DW about it, let the good times roll, and cross that bridge when you come to it.

There are times I've been guilty of waiting TOO long...afraid of making the move too early and pissing off the woman...the truth was, on at least one occasion, she was thinking I didn't find her attractive enough, and on another, that I simply wasn't interested.

It depends. Some people want to wait to get to know the person and others want it then and there. I'd personally say at least a couple of months. Its not like you're going to die from lack of sex. 8-)
