Re: What is your definition of love?
I'd have to say that love is something that is deep-seeded inside when its found. Regardless of how a person may appear to be or react on the outside towards another person, even if it is not necessarily "nice", they can love that person regardless of circumstance. Although I'm divorced, I will always love my ex-wife because my feelings were real when we married. Even at times when I feel she may be using me at times, I cannot convince myself to not just love her anymore. I just can't shake it! I don't want to have an intimate relationship with her any more but she has become part of my "family" and is the mother of my beautiful 9 yr. old daughter. I believe that "true" love becomes biologically implanted at times and can't be removed. Whether I found myself in love again with another woman, I'd still love my ex...., the only difference being the addition of affection, friendship, intimacy, and all else that is added and given to that someone who has become closer to my heart. May sound a little out there but I think real love is more than just what's apparent on the outside and just may not be that apparent to someone else. And NO, I'm not hooked on my ex at all, but I'll love her 'til the day I die..., she's family now.

Honestly, I don't have a concise defination of love, there is all types of love, love in the moment, love I knew I had for you and oh the favorite "I love you" but love has its own twisted value. Truthfully, if I had a defination of love it would be purely off of emotion and not fact... But hey I am no Dr. Phil rather I am Dr. Feel good lol but seriously, the defination of love really can't be defined until you are there in that state of mind in that moment but I am sure by then, you wouldn't writing on here now would you lol... Hey yall take care;)!

Re: What is your definition of love?
This question seems so simple.
"What is love?"
Well there's no right or wrong answer, I guess everyone feels it differently.
For me, I would say when you're in love with someone, they provide the missing piece in your life.
Being with them is like standing on the top of the world, and being without them is like having teeth pulled.
I believe that once you have taken that leap by falling in love with another person, there is no going back. It's a journey. When people say they have "fallen out of love" with someone, I don't believe their heart has taken a step backwards, I think it has taken a jump forwards, and possibly found that the other person has become more of a best friend than a lover.
But once you have loved someone, they will occupy a place in your heart forever.

Love is true belief of knowing you can unconditionally accept a person for who they are, were, and will be. no matter what they have done, is doing, or will do. But i do believe love is a period between two peoples lives that can expire or last their life time, depending on the changes one is going through with the new experiences life has to offer. Environment has a lot to do with being able to deny that true belief in which love can then expire. BUT. If two people have the same extreme true belief that they will never harm, always accept, and experience life together no matter what with all their hearts, is a most powerful force called love. <3 love living and you shall live loving <3

Well love is to me not really much a feeling its more like bond. And i its not something i figure out i have right away. I figured it out after awhile cause love is about caring for someone greater than yourself, and do what you think is best for your partner. I don't mean doing the romantic thing to showoff cause impressing someone like that doesn't do much its really the small things in the end that impact a relationship.

My defenition of love or what I think love should be? I believe that if two people love each other, they are their right hand when needed, left hand when needed, pick up the pieces of the other. Accept each other for who they are. Can have a great time, can fight, can cry and can laugh. Life is life, however, if the love is there, the other wants to make life as easy for the other as possible. You want to help each other. Your friends matter and it's all good, but down to the nitty gritty it has to be the two that became one when they exchanged vowes. Don't settle & don't be afraid to end it if it becomes something your not looking for. Life is short, enjoy it everyday & respect your partner.

You've hit the nail on the head there chris, I think love can come from two directions though, it can start with a physical attraction on both sides (lust) if you want to use that term and simply grows from there - or you can meet someone you like a lot and simply want to care for them, fantastic when they feel the same way about you and there can be know other feeling on earth like it, its like when our children are born we instinctivly know they are helpless and are going to need love and care until they feel they can stand on there own two feet and go off into the wide and wonderful world.
But either way it is a feeling all of its own, contolling mind and heart, a feeling like no other, but we must all beware the pittfalls of one sided love when we meet someone we like emensly, and want to take care of and provide for and help but there is nothing from there side, this can be soul distroying to say the least, so be careful!!.

People say love is blind,
Because they don't know what love is,
I say to you, only love has eyes,
Else than love everything is blind

Else than love everything is blind
